Traffic - Closures continue: Köhlbrand Bridge after water pipe burst
Following a burst water pipe in the Port of Hamburg, one of the lanes leading to the Köhlbrand Bridge remains closed. According to a statement from Hamburg Wasser, it will only be possible to start cutting open the asphalt on Friday in order to get to the burst pipe. For this reason, traffic on the affected Roßdamm will only be routed in one lane in both directions for the time being. Drivers must be prepared for delays both in and out of the city.
On Thursday morning, a drinking water pipe on the Roßdamm burst for unknown reasons, causing damage to the road out of town. The leaking water was then reportedly pumped out underground. It is still unclear how long the repair work will take and how much damage has been caused.
