In the northern Harz, a 41-year-old climber fell approximately eight meters deep. The incident occurred on a Saturday morning at the Marienwand in Okertal, as the police reported. The injured person was taken to a hospital via a rescue helicopter.

The climber hailed from Lower Saxony, and the accident prompted an immediate emergency response. Upon falling, the climber needed to be airlifted directly to the hospital due to the severe nature of the incident.
