The climate initiative "Last Generation" has launched protests in several cities, including Berlin Brandenburg Airport. According to a dpa photographer, at least two activists are on the southern runway. There is a hole in the fence. Police are on the scene, and a helicopter is circling overhead.

Two activists each, wearing orange safety vests, entered the grounds of Berlin Brandenburg, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Cologne-Bonn, and Karlsruhe airports, according to the organization's statements.
They peacefully expressed their resistance by displaying banners with the inscriptions "Oil kills" and "Sign the treaty," the organization reported in a statement. "The runways were not entered."
