- Climate activists cling to Stuttgart airport

Climate activists from the Last Generation have been attempting since morning to disrupt traffic at Stuttgart Airport. According to federal police, two activists glued themselves to a feeder road leading to the runway. The spokesperson emphasized that this did not affect flight operations.

"The activists, each wearing orange safety vests, peacefully expressed their resistance by displaying banners with the messages 'Oil kills' and 'Sign the treaty'," the organization reported in a statement. "The runways were not entered." Similar actions took place at Berlin Brandenburg, Cologne Bonn, and Nuremberg airports. At Nuremberg, flight operations are currently suspended.

Last Generation's post on X about the action

The Commission issued a statement expressing concern over the disruptions caused by Last Generation's protests at various airports. The Commission urged the activists to consider the impact of their actions on the general public and the economy.
