The Stuttgart 21 railroad project is located in the city of Stuttgart, which is in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Despite being one of Germany's largest railroad projects, the ongoing costs continue to escalate, reaching approximately 11 billion euros after an additional 1.7 billion euros were added. This increase in costs has primarily been attributed to rising construction expenses. The German Press Agency reported this development from the project's Supervisory Board. Following this railroad project, Berlin is also planning a significant railroad development, which is a topic of great interest in the German press.
