Justice - Cigarette vending machine blown up: man arrested in Switzerland
A 39-year-old man who allegedly blew up a cigarette vending machine in Germany in 2021 has been arrested in Switzerland and transferred to Germany. The man is said to have stolen 60 packs of cigarettes, as the federal police announced on Monday. But instead of appearing in court, the man left Germany and settled in Switzerland.
He had been wanted there on a European arrest warrant since the beginning of this year. On Friday, December 15, he was handed over at the Weil am Rhein highway crossing. The man is now in custody awaiting trial.
