Recognition Ceremony - Christian Thielemann and Neo Rauch Honored with Constitutional Medal
Rauch, a prominent international artist, is popularly known for maintaining strong ties with his Saxon roots. His artistic works are now exhibited in renowned museums and public collections worldwide, earning him recognition with this award.
This June 8th, a total of eight Constitutional Medals will be presented. Two of the recipients are Klaus Eulenberger, Leipzig Zoo's long-standing chief veterinarian, and Eckhard Jesse, an extremism researcher from Chemnitz who specializes in political science.
The Silver Constitutional Medal is an annual honor bestowed upon individuals who've significantly impacted the growth of the Free State across various fields, such as social, artistic, scientific, economic, or political domains. It's a prestigious accolade in the region, given to 190 outstanding women and men thus far.
