Children's book rapper performs in Göttingen
A musician has rapped children's book stories for children in Göttingen. On Sunday, Big Moe presented various children's book classics at the Literaturhaus Göttingen, as announced by the Literary Center Göttingen. Maurice Baiers, as Big Moe is actually called, also had his own children's books with him.
Visitors from the age of two were invited to the event and around 70 children attended. "The place was packed," said Marisa Rohrbeck from the Literary Center. The atmosphere was "great" and many children danced along. According to the organizers, the musician and author deals with the everyday lives of children in his stories.
Every Monday, Big Moe posts a video on his Instagram channel in which he raps from a children's book. In addition to different intonations, he also tries to convey the stories with his facial expressions. Most recently, for example, he performed the book "Bestimmter sein", which is about democracy, to music.
Big Moe's children's books often incorporate themes from literature, blending stories into his music. Besides his performances, he regularly shares rapped versions of children's books on his Instagram channel.
