Lower Bavaria - Children find alarm gun in "to give away" box
According to police, children in Lower Bavaria have found a loaded alarm gun in a box labeled "Zu verschenken" ("To give away"). A witness reported the incident in Landshut, the police said on Monday. According to the report, the box was "accessible to everyone" in the hallway of an apartment building on Sunday. The weapon was a blank-firing pistol with cartridge ammunition.
It initially remained unclear who had left the box and weapon there. The police investigated a violation of the Weapons Act.
