Accident - Child runs in front of streetcar in Dresden: Three injured
A child ran in front of an incoming streetcar at a stop in Dresden and was struck by it. The four-year-old and two passengers, a 65-year-old woman and a 3-year-old boy, were slightly injured in the accident early on Monday evening, police said on Tuesday. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
According to initial findings, the four-year-old tore himself from his 29-year-old mother' s hand in the Gorbitz district and ran onto the tracks. The mother pulled her son off the tracks, but the boy was still hit. Both fell onto the sidewalk and the boy was slightly injured. The heavy braking caused several passengers to fall, including the 65-year-old woman and the child.
