Child finds ecstasy in old chewing gum machine
A child has found a bag of ecstasy pills in an old chewing gum machine. The former chewing gum machine in Nabburg (Schwandorf district) probably served as a hiding place for drugs, police said on Friday. The child found the pills by chance and showed them to an adult. The adult informed the police. The officers confiscated the drugs. The chewing gum machine was dismantled after the incident on Thursday.
The discovery of ecstasy pills in Nabburg's old chewing gum machine has raised concerns about drug use in the OBERPFALZ region. Authorities are investigating whether this was an isolated incident or part of a larger crime involving drugs in the area.
