Chemnitz cold bus on the road from November

The Chemnitz cold bus is gearing up for the winter and will be helping people without shelter from as early as November this year. As temperatures drop, they will need extra help in the coming months, according to the organizers. Food and drink will be prepared for those affected, donations in kind will be distributed and help will be provided in the event of problems. According to the information provided, the team is still looking for donations of clothing, sleeping mats, sleeping bags and blankets as well as hygiene products. Last winter, the cold bus was in operation in the city from December to March. More than 30 trips were organized, it said.

The Municipalities in the Chemnitz region are actively supporting the Social Affairs sector by aiding the cold bus initiative, providing funds and resources for its operation from November. During the winter, the Social Affairs department of the municipalities will closely monitor the cold bus's activities and ensure necessary assistance to the homeless population.
