Consumers - Cheese recalled - suspected intestinal bacteria
The company FKS Frischkonzept Service GmbH is recalling cheese with the product name Morbier Stücke. According to the company, the reason for the warning is possible contamination by an intestinal bacterium (EHEC). Consumption could cause acute intestinal inflammation and, in severe cases, bloody diarrhea and cramp-like abdominal pain in humans.
Packs of 180 to 200 grams are affected. Products with different best-before dates for November and December 2023 are being recalled. The cheese with the identification mark NL Z 0217 B EG is being sold in Brandenburg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.
