Tunes - Charity tune composed by rock band Santiano for marine saviors.

Rock band Santiano plans to generate funds for sea rescue through a benefit song. "Retter in der Not" will be released on June 14th, and all its sales proceeds will be donated to the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked. The song also aims to shed light on the fact that this organization chiefly survives on donations.

Nicolaus Stadeler, the managing director of the sea rescuers, considers this an appropriate recognition of the heroic and voluntary efforts of the crews in the North and Baltic Seas. According to a press release, Santiano, a Schleswig-Holstein-based band, has had a long association with sea rescue, almost a decade and a half.

Earlier this year, the same volunteer organization saved Pete Sage, a member of Santiano, and his wife from distress while on their sailing yacht in the Kiel Bay. "We are awestruck by the enormous devotion, challenges, and humanity demonstrated by the men and women of the sea rescue," stated singer Björn Both.
