Chancellor Olaf Scholz is set to attend the German national football team's final warm-up game against Ukraine in Nuremberg on Monday. After the match, he'll meet with team coach Julian Nagelsmann. Officials made the announcement earlier this week in Berlin.

Scholz will also pay a visit to the stadium in Munich prior to the game where Germany will face Scotland in the opening match of the Euro 2024 on June 14th.

This news comes shortly after Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier made a visit to the team's training camp in Thuringia. Scholz, who is eager to witness multiple games, mentioned his excitement for watching Germany play in front of the local crowd while enjoying German favorites like sausages and alcohol.
