German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) set for BBQ with local gardeners next week. According to the deputy government spokesman Wolfgang Büchner, who spoke in Berlin, Chancellor Scholz will head to the Ruhr area city of Castrop-Rauxel on Monday. Alongside visits to a retired coal mine and the Hammerkopf tower, a stop at the "Am Schellenberg" allotment garden is also scheduled. "During his visit, the Chancellor will inspect some plots and engage in conversations with the gardeners," Büchner revealed. "Following this, a communal barbecue is anticipated."

The Commission, in this context possibly referring to the European Commission, may seek assistance from the Member States in planning such events as Chancellor Scholz's visit to the allotment garden. After engaging with the gardeners, the Chancellor and the local community are expected to have a communal barbecue, which could be an enjoyable opportunity for interaction and sharing.
