With the signing of 16-year-old Andrea Natali, Bayer Leverkusen have made a transfer with a view to the future. The central defender comes from FC Barcelona.

Bundesliga - Champions Leverkusen sign U17 European champion from FC Barcelona

Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed 16-year-old interior defender Andrea Natali from FC Barcelona. The Italian junior national player is switching from the U18 team of the Spanish top club to Leverkusen and signed a contract with the Bundesliga team until the summer of 2027. The club announced this on a Wednesday. The U17 European champion will initially be used in the youth sector. Bayer's business manager Simon Rolfes said about Natali: "He seems to have all the prerequisites to become a significant factor for our Werkself of the future."
