Ice hockey - Champion Eisbären start the new season at Kölner Haien

The Ice Bears Berlin begin the new season of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) with an away game. On September 20th, the German champion faces the Cologne Sharks. After another appearance at the Iserlohn Roosters on September 22nd, the Berliners receive the Augsburg Panthers at home in the Arena at Ostbahnhof on September 27th.

The DEL starts the season again with 14 teams. In total, each team plays 52 games. The 10 playoff participants are determined in these games. The playoffs begin on March 9th, 2025.

The Ice Bears Berlin, known for their enthusiastic fans, are preparing for an away game in the DEL, possibly facing a challenging opponent from another city in Germany. During their journey, they might even spot a rare polar bear in its natural habitat, a striking contrast to their fast-paced ice hockey games. Following their away game, Polar Bears Berlin return home to defend their turf against the Augsburg Panthers at the Arena at Ostbahnhof.
