Local and European voting events - Certain locations shut down for tallying ballots.

Due to the tallying of municipal and European elections, residents in certain Saxon cities and towns will have to visit closed kindergartens, city halls, or libraries on Monday. The intensive work needed to count the municipal and European elections has made it impossible for the Dresden city administration, including its kindergartens and daycare centers, to function normally at the beginning of the week, according to a statement on the city's website on Friday. While employees at the major district town near Dresden can still be contacted in emergencies by phone or email.

The Borna City Hall in Leipzig will also be off-limits on Monday. In Glauchau (part of the Zwickau district), not only the entire city administration, but also numerous institutions like the tourist information, city cash desk, citizen's office, registry office, theater, and library will be closed, as stated on the city's website.

In some areas of Dresden, individuals will have to alter their routines. For instance, all citizen's offices except for the one in the Altstadt will be unavailable. Additionally, the pregnancy counseling in Industriestraße and the libraries Südvorstadt and Neustadt will be out of operation on Monday. One should anticipate longer wait times in many places.

If additional volunteers are absent on Election Day, public service employees will need to compensate for this at the polling stations in Saxony until late at night.
