Culture - Ce-eff looks back on his life for cabaret
On tour with a Loriot sketch, Reinhard Mey's first songs and encounters with Dieter Hildebrandt, Gerhard Polt, Emil Steinberger and Gert Fröbe: Carl-Friedrich Krüger, co-founder of the Mainz cabaret stage Unterhaus and the cabaret prize, looks back on his life in an autobiography. Friends had urged him to write down his memoirs, writes the 85-year-old in the foreword to "A life for cabaret and cabaret". It was not just a pleasure to "unearth buried experiences from the darkness".
"As long as I was in charge, there was no comedy," Ce-eff (for Carl-Friedrich), as Krüger is known, tells the German Press Agency about his time in the House of Commons. Today he lives alternately in Thailand and Rheinhessen. His current favorite cabaret artist: Erwin Grosche.
