Anhalt-Bitterfeld - Cause of serious accident on B183 still unclear

The cause of the serious traffic accident on the B183 federal highway in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district, which left one dead and one seriously injured, is still unclear. The 62-year-old seriously injured man is to be questioned about the course of the accident as soon as possible, as the police announced on Tuesday morning. As there were no witnesses, the police have not yet been able to reconstruct the accident.

On Monday afternoon, a van and a truck collided head-on in the Radegast district of Südliches Anhalt. The 48-year-old driver of the van died at the scene of the accident. The truck driver was seriously injured and flown to hospital by a rescue helicopter. The road was reportedly fully closed until the evening for the accident investigation.
