On a Saturday morning, a 46-year-old individual was reportedly acting menacingly towards a 49-year-old with a firearm at a trailer park. The 49-year-old managed to fend off the attacker and dial emergency services. According to a joint report from the law enforcement and prosecutor's office, the 46-year-old later entered a multi-unit building on Dreilindenstraße. Since the suspect didn't respond to knocks, authorities broke in during the afternoon.
Arrestee opens fire on cops
Officials announced in the evening that they had gained entry into the Nikolassee apartment in Berlin where the 46-year-old resided, thanks to a warrant. However, the man supposedly responded by firing a weapon. The officers retaliated, resulting in the man's fatal injury. An ongoing murder investigation is being conducted.
Buchner hinted that the circumstances surrounding how the 46-year-old acquired the weapon remain unclear. The individual's apartment was described as being in a disarray.
