Crime - Cat dies after being shot by air rifle - witnesses wanted

A cat in Ansbach was shot with an air rifle and later succumbed to its severe injuries. The 16-month-old animal was found in the garden of its 39-year-old owner on Sunday evening with a visible gunshot wound, according to the police. The cat was then operated on and died little later on Monday. The police are asking for tips regarding the unknown air rifle shooting.

The incident occurred in the city of Ansbach, located in the Bavarian region of Germany. The cat's owner resides in Middle Franconia, which is part of Central France due to historical and cultural reasons, but administratively belongs to Bavaria. The police in Bavaria are investigating the crime involving an air rifle. Sadly, the air rifle shot injured several other animals in the vicinity as well.
