Cars damaged at ice hockey game: 100,000 euros in damage
A 26-year-old is said to have scratched ten parked cars near the ice rink in Rosenheim and caused damage amounting to 100,000 euros. According to the police on Monday, a sharp object was used in the crime, which caused deep indentations in some of the vehicle paintwork. The wing mirrors on some vehicles were also damaged and in some cases completely kicked off.
According to the information, most of the car owners had parked their cars in the freely accessible parking area around Sunday afternoon in order to attend the Starbulls Rosenheim ice hockey game against the Eisbären Regensburg. The police initially assumed no connection to the second league game.
The 26-year-old has no fixed abode and lives in a social facility in the city. An application for arrest has been made against the man.
The incident occurred in Upper Bavaria, where the Starbulls Rosenheim were playing ice hockey against Eisbären Regensburg. Despite the criminal act causing substantial damage to numerous cars, it's not clear if it was related to the ice hockey game.
