Bad Doberan - Carport burns out: House with nine residents evacuated
Nine people had to leave their homes in the middle of the night on Monday because of a burning carport in Bad Doberan. When the emergency services arrived at the scene of the fire shortly after 1.30 a.m., the car shelter was fully engulfed in flames, the police said. The nine residents of the neighboring apartment building were therefore evacuated from their apartments as a precaution. In addition, a vehicle parked under the carport on a trailer was pulled out in time.
Around 20,000 euros worth of damage was caused. The residents were able to return to their homes at the end of the operation. Federal highway 105 was closed for about one and a half hours due to the firefighting work.

The carport fire in Bad Doberan damaged vehicles worth approximately 20,000 euros. Thankfully, the evacuated residents were able to return home after the situation was resolved. If such an incident involving a carport and a vehicle occurred in mecklenburg-vorpommern, it might require the involvement of the local police.
