Carnival season also begins in Saxony-Anhalt
This Saturday, 11.11. at 11.11 a.m., the jesters in Saxony-Anhalt will kick off the new session. In Halle, the start of the "fifth season" will be celebrated on the market square with a program lasting several hours. In Köthen, the anniversary session begins under the motto: "Oh how wonderful: KUKAKÖ turns 70!" The association was founded in October 1954 and a parade is organized in Bernburg with the liberation of the town's chief jester, Till Eulenspiegel, from the castle tower. The regional association currently has 185 clubs with around 18,000 members.
Visitors to Halle's market square can expect a lively Carnival celebration, filled with traditional customs and joyous activities. During the Carnival season, these customs are celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect in Saxony-Anhalt.
