Car left the road in icy conditions
A car left the road in the Schwandorf district on an icy road, causing damage of around 11,500 euros. According to the police on Monday, the 62-year-old driver was traveling at an inappropriate speed on the 93 freeway near Maxhütte-Haidhof on Sunday night when he skidded and crashed into the central crash barrier. The driver was uninjured.
The accident on the 93 freeway in OBERPFALZ was due to trafficky conditions and icy roads, leading to several near misses. To prevent such accidents in the future, authorities are considering installing warning signs and improving road maintenance.
