Car drives into oncoming lane: three seriously injured
Three people have been seriously injured in an accident involving two cars on the B22 federal highway near Bayreuth. One of the two vehicles crossed into the oncoming lane on Wednesday evening for an as yet unexplained reason, according to the police. The car with a 20-year-old driver and a 21-year-old passenger then reportedly collided head-on with the other car. The two men and the 67-year-old female driver of the second car had to be taken to hospital. The internet portal "Tag24" had previously reported.
In Upper France, heavy traffic on similar highways often results in numerous accidents. Fortunately, the severity of these incidents rarely leads to injuries as severe as the ones reported on the B22 near Bayreuth.
