Traffic - Car driver dies in accident with truck
A driver has been killed in an accident with a truck on highway 8 near Dornstadt (Alb-Donau district). The man was unable to avoid a truck that had lost control in time, as the police reported on Monday. The driver was trapped and died at the scene of the accident. The lorry driver was taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries. The highway towards Stuttgart was closed for several hours due to the accident. The cause of the accident was initially unclear. The public prosecutor's office ordered a technical expert opinion. The police estimate the damage to be around 50,000 euros.
