Car crashes into tree: three-year-old child injured

A car has left the road in the district of Hildesheim and crashed into a tree. According to the police, a three-year-old child in the car was slightly injured. It also suffered a severe shock. The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon between Schlewecke and Henneckerode.

District of Hildesheim - Car crashes into tree: three-year-old child injured

A car has left the road in the district of Hildesheim and crashed into a tree. According to the police, a three-year-old child in the car was slightly injured. It also suffered a severe shock. The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon between Schlewecke and Henneckerode.

The 45-year-old driver had initially been driving on a downhill stretch of road and then entered a sharp 90-degree bend. He had not adjusted his speed, the report continued. The car reportedly left the road and crashed head-on into the tree. It then came to a halt in a field.

The driver and a 50-year-old female passenger were uninjured. The L 497 was fully closed for around 45 minutes. The damage to property is estimated at around 6000 euros.
