- Car crashes into tree and burns out: driver seriously injured
A 40-year-old man crashed his car into an apple tree and was severely injured. The car was completely burned out, according to police. The driver was traveling on a road at the entrance to Murr in the Ludwigshafen district when he suddenly veered off the road to the left for unknown reasons. He drove through a property boundary into a front yard and collided head-on with a tree.
The car caught fire, but the driver managed to free himself in time. He was taken to a hospital with severe injuries. The estimated damage is around 5,000 euros.
The police confirmed the car's total destruction in the accident. Emergency services were called to the scene due to the police report of the incident.
