- Car crashes into apartment building - driver seriously injured

A 65-year-old man in the Swabian district of Donau-Ries drove his car through a fence and crashed into a house. As reported by the police, the man was seriously injured in the accident on Friday. According to the reports, the driver in Holzheim continued straight at a curve for unknown reasons.

The fire department had to rescue the man from his car. A rescue helicopter took him to the hospital. Besides the car, the fence, a bush, a basement window, a trampoline, and the house wall were damaged, a spokesperson said. No house residents were injured.

The fire department needed to extricate the man from the damage caused to his car. Upon arrival at the hospital, the man's condition was closely monitored by medical personnel.
