Traffic - Car collides with articulated truck: Passenger seriously injured
The passenger of a car was trapped and seriously injured in a head-on collision on Autobahn 3 in the Landkreis Regensburg. The 40-year-old driver and his 16-year-old daughter were lightly injured in the accident on a Saturday morning.
According to the police, the man, for unknown reasons, collided with a trailer truck on the right lane near Laaber. The seriously injured 42-year-old passenger had to be rescued from the wreckage. She was taken to a hospital. Autobahn 3 was closed in the direction of Passau for approximately one and a half hours due to the accident.
The collision involved a car and an articulated truck, both traveling on Autobahn 3 in the OBERPFALZ region. The County of Regensburg witnessed this unfortunate traffic incident in Bavaria. Despite the closure, subsequent accidents in the area led to prolonged delays in traffic.
