- Car burns out after accident on A4 - one seriously injured
Following an accident on the A4 motorway in the district of Görlitz, a vehicle was completely destroyed by fire. A 30-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries, as reported by the police.
The driver had apparently had to swerve to avoid a truck that had suddenly moved into the left lane. In doing so, the car left the road, overturned several times, and caught fire.
The motorway in the direction of Dresden had to be fully closed for approximately 45 minutes to allow for fire-fighting operations.
The car involved in the accident was a conventional four-door vehicle. Unfortunately, despite the firefighters' efforts, the car was beyond repair due to the intense fire.
