Fires - Car burns in double garage: two seriously injured
Two people have been seriously injured in a car fire in a garage in Ehrenberg (Fulda district). According to the police, the fire broke out on Saturday evening in a double garage adjacent to a residential building. A father and his daughter had been carrying out repair work on the car. According to reports, the father initially escaped from the garage after a few minutes. With the help of another relative, the 15-year-old daughter was also brought outside. The father and his daughter suffered serious burns and smoke inhalation. According to the police, the relative was also slightly injured by smoke fumes. Rescue workers took the two seriously injured people to specialist clinics by rescue helicopter.
The fire department extinguished the burning car. It was initially unclear why the fire broke out.
