Accident - Car and streetcar collide
After a collision with a streetcar in Bochum, a person got trapped in their car. Since the vehicle doors wouldn't open after the crash on Monday evening, the victim had to be rescued by the fire department using hydraulic rescue equipment.
The extent of the person's injuries and whether they were a man or a woman couldn't be determined by the fire department initially. The cause of the accident was also unclear. The streetcar driver and five passengers were attended to by the paramedics at the scene.
The collision occurred on a bustling street in Bochum, situated in North Rhine-Westphalia. Due to the impact, traffic on that street was heavily disrupted until late in the night. The fire department not only rescued the trapped individual but also assisted in clearing the debris caused by the accident.
