A speeding sports car driver encountered trouble on the A94 close to Dorfen (Erding district), leading to a mishap. The 42-year-old, with minor injuries, was escorted by emergency services to a medical facility, as confirmed by the authorities. The high-end vehicle suffered extensive damage and needed to be removed, with repair costs approximating around 150,000 euros.

As per the police, the driver was headed towards Passau at a rate beyond safety regulations. Due to water slickening, also known as hydroplaning, he lost command over his vehicle and veered off the road. The car first hit a barrier, then crossed both lanes, and finally collided with the central barrier, finally coming to a halt at an odd angle on the A94.
The road was littered with stones, vehicle debris, and spilled fluids for approximately 500 meters. The A94 was closed down completely in that section for around an hour and a quarter.
