Cancellation of all soccer matches at state level in SH
From Friday to Sunday, there will be no soccer matches at state level in Schleswig-Holstein. "The general cancellation applies to all match categories (district class C to Oberliga) and all age groups (men's, women's and youth)," the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association (SHFV) announced on Thursday.
"The snowfall of the past few days and in particular the extreme temperatures are preventing matches from being played almost without exception throughout Schleswig-Holstein," it said. The ball is therefore suspended due to the pitch conditions and for the protection of all players - initially only next weekend.
The decision to cancel all soccer matches at the state level in Schleswig-Holstein affects all categories, including the amateurs playing in district class C. The extreme weather conditions, with heavy snowfall and low temperatures, have made it nearly impossible to host any soccer matches in SHFV.
