Accident - Cab driver injured in accident at Hamburg airport

A taxi driver was injured in an accident near Hamburg Airport. The 71-year-old lost control of his car in a curve before the airport entrance, broke through a guardrail, and hit the support beams of an overhang, said a police spokesperson.

Emergency services took the taxi driver, who had no passengers at the time of the accident, to a hospital. The police are now investigating witness statements, which suggest that the driver may have been driving too fast. The investigators have not yet provided information on the extent of the property damage.

The police are also looking into other recent accidents near Hamburg Airport, hoping to identify any patterns or common causes. Despite the accident, flights at Hamburg Airport continued to operate without disruption.
