- BVB's transfer activities have been assigned this rating:

Dortmund is anticipated to challenge for the title once more in the upcoming season, as per the opinions of Lothar Matthäus. The ex-national team record holder commended the club's transfer approach. "I'm quite fond of Dortmund's transfer strategy, I'd give it an 8 out of 10 this year. The players they've brought in make Dortmund a team to reckon with," the 63-year-old shared with the German Press Agency.

The club has already secured the services of Brazilian full-back Yan Couto, French striker Serhou Guirassy, and German internationals Pascal Groß, Waldemar Anton, and Maximilian Beier. Dortmund will commence their new Bundesliga campaign on Saturday (6:30 PM) against Eintracht Frankfurt.

"I'm excited about a Bundesliga that now has distinct titles contenders, with roughly 4.5 teams able to perform at the highest level. They might not all end up tied on points, but they'll be closely matched," expressed the Sky analyst. "I don't expect any single team to reign supreme like Leverkusen did the previous season. I believe it'll be a tense competition between Leverkusen and Bayern, with BVB consistently in the mix."

The presence of multiple teams with potential to perform at the highest level, as mentioned by the Sky analyst, makes the Bundesliga an exciting competition this season. Among these contenders, Dortmund, with their new signings, is considered 'Other' team that has a strong chance to challenge for the title.
