BVB in debt against Newcastle

The 0:4 in the clash with FC Bayern has dispelled the good mood in Dortmund up to that point. A win over Newcastle should help them get back on track - and reconcile the fans.

BVB in debt against Newcastle

Just three days after their poor performance against FC Bayern, Borussia Dortmund face another tough challenge. In the Champions League group game against Newcastle United on Tuesday (6.45pm/Amazon Prime), coach Edin Terzic's team will be looking to dispel the frustration of a clear 4-0 defeat. The 1:0 victory in the first leg two weeks earlier in the English north is encouraging. Another win would take BVB past Newcastle, who are currently second in the table and level on points, and further improve their chances of reaching the round of 16 in the tough Group F. However, coach Terzic will once again be without captain Emre Can, who has a knee injury.

Despite the setback against Bayern, Borussia Dortmund aims to bounce back in the Champions League against Newcastle United. Even with Emre Can's absence due to a knee injury, Terzic's team hopes to build on their 1-0 lead from the first leg to secure a valuable victory and boost their standing in Group F, currently trailing behind Newcastle United, who are level on points.
