The number of business closures climbed by 5% compared to the same period preceding, amounting to 1,739. In summary, 241 more businesses were founded than closed.
The region saw an average of 0.7 new businesses per 1,000 residents, the statisticians disclosed. The rate of business establishments varied greatly, with Kiel, along with the Steinburg and Plön districts, registering 0.4 new businesses per 1,000 inhabitants. In contrast, the Nordfriesland district recorded a significantly higher rate of 1.1 new businesses per 1,000 residents.
The report suggested that 'The following shall be added:' to the analysis, considering the variation in business establishment rates among different districts in Schleswig-Holstein. This additional information would include the notably higher rate in the Nordfriesland district compared to other areas.
