The weather in Lower Saxony has been inconsistent, with periods of continuous rain contributing to the flood situation. The federal armed forces and Federal Police equipment could become crucial in managing this situation, as suggested by state fire director Dieter Rohrberg in Hanover. Lower Saxony is currently receiving aid from other federal states, but the need for additional assistance from the armed forces and police remains a possibility. If required, transport helicopters from the Bundeswehr could be deployed to assist in rescue operations or deliver supplies. The Federal Police has also been involved in monitoring the situation, working alongside various emergency services to ensure public safety in the region.
