Bundeswehr ends exercise with Eurofighters in Jordan
The German Air Force has completed a military exercise in Jordan. Six Eurofighters were due to fly back to the German airbase at Laage near Rostock on Wednesday, a spokesman said on Monday. The soldiers and their aircraft had flown to the Arab country on October 10 to take part in the tri-national "Desert Air" exercise together with the Jordanian and US Air Forces. The Bundeswehr was taking part in the exercise with Eurofighters for the first time and also wanted to send a signal for military presence in the Middle East.
The Bundeswehr's participation in the "Desert Air" exercise demonstrated their commitment to strengthening defense partnerships in the Middle East. The German Armed Forces, specifically the Air Force, showcased their capabilities during the joint exercise with the Jordanian and US Air Forces.
