Conflicts - Bundeswehr brings relief supplies for Gaza patients to Egypt
The German government is preparing a delivery of medical equipment and relief supplies to Egypt. The material is to be flown from Wunstorf to Cairo on Saturday in an A400M of the German Air Force and is intended for the treatment of patients from the Gaza Strip, the German Press Agency was informed in Berlin on Wednesday. The equipment also includes ventilators and incubators for babies. In total, several tons of aid material are involved.
Like the USA and other countries, the German government had called for an increase in aid for the suffering population in the Gaza Strip and an expansion of transports to the Palestinian territory. According to aid organizations, supplies to the people there are on the verge of collapse. The war was triggered by the worst massacre in Israel's history, carried out by terrorists from Hamas and other extremist groups from the Gaza Strip on October 7 in Israel near the border with Gaza.
