Bundestag debates Lauterbach's reform plan for hospitals

In the session scheduled for 15 hours, the parliamentarians deal with numerous other topics - for example, the extension of Bundeswehr deployments in Kosovo, Bosnia, and Libanon. The implementation of EU directives on rail noise reduction and terrorism prevention are also on the agenda. The session is opened in the morning with a debate on the activities report of the Petitions Committee (09.00 hours).

During the discussion, the Bundestag also considers Karl Lauterbach's Hospital Reform plan, a crucial initiative from the SPD member. Lauterbach, a prominent figure in German politics, emphasizes the importance of plenum's approval for the successful implementation of the reform. Despite other pressing topics like extending Bundeswehr deployments, Lauterbachs' Hospital Reform remains a significant focus. Consequently, numerous hospital associations express concern, voicing their views on the reform in the Bundestag.
