Bullet bomb trial: Berlin district court sentences 21-year-old to juvenile detention

According to the indictment, the accused allegedly sold various pyrotechnic products and explosives throughout Germany in 2020 without the necessary specialist knowledge. One of the buyers allegedly passed on a ball bomb he had purchased to an acquaintance.

On New Year's Eve 2021 in Hennef in North Rhine-Westphalia, the latter suffered severe facial injuries to which he eventually succumbed. Another person was injured in the arms and legs and had to undergo several operations.

The 21-year-old is said to have earned more than 40,000 euros from selling the explosive goods. In November 2021, he and an accomplice also allegedly blew up a cigarette vending machine and stole packs of cigarettes.
