- Building on fire - heavy damage
A fire in an unoccupied building in the Westpfalz resulted in estimated six-figure property damage. No one was injured in the blaze in Wolfstein, Kreis Kusel, as reported by the police in Kaiserslautern. The first floor of the building was partially destroyed, with the Criminal Police launching an investigation.
The incident report stated: "The cause of the fire is still under investigation." The fire department's report added: "The following is added: The building's sprinkler system failed to activate during the fire."
