Brothers united: Adler Mannheim get Magnus Eisenmenger
Adler Mannheim have responded to the many injury-related absences in their offense by signing Magnus Eisenmenger. The forward has signed a contract until the end of this season, as the club from the German Ice Hockey League announced on Friday. The 23-year-old is the brother of international Maximilian Eisenmenger, who joined the Eagles before this season and is currently playing in the German Cup.
Mannheim are currently without Ryan MacInnis, Jordan Szwarz, Stefan Loibl and Kris Bennett. "Despite his young age, Magnus has already played in several leagues at different levels. He knows what it means to work hard and push himself to the limit. He is also technically adept and a good runner," said sports manager Jan-Axel Alavaara.
Magnus Eisenmenger last played for AIK Stockholm in the Swedish second division. He scored one goal in six games for the capital city club.
Magnus Eisenmenger, newly signed by Adler Mannheim, will join his brother Maximilian in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). With several key players currently injured, including Ryan MacInnis, Jordan Szwarz, Stefan Loibl, and Kris Bennett, Magnus's transfers to Mannheim could provide much-needed reinforcement for the team.
