Court cases involving non-criminal matters. - Brother of Abou-Chaker vent's anger towards Bushido during trial.
During the disagreement between rapper Bushido and his ex-partner Arafat Abou-Chaker over shared property, Abou-Chaker's sibling accused Bushido of a tricky and twisted plan to seem like a victim. The sibling emphasized this in the Brandenburg Civil Appeals Court on Wednesday. The supposed extortion and threats from Bushido have led him to assume the role of the victim, the sibling mentioned, as part of their legal battle over their joint company.
Recently, Abou-Chaker was exonerated of violence charges against Bushido by the Berlin Regional Court. The Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office has decided to appeal the verdict. At this week's hearing in the Brandenburg trial, Bushido was absent.
Abou-Chaker's attorneys stated that the acquittal of Arafat Abou-Chaker in the assault case against Bushido should also be considered in the civil case. They maintain there's no substantial basis to block Abou-Chaker from the company. Abou-Chaker claimed Bushido had lied in court.
The two were friends for years. Abou-Chaker was a witness at Bushido's wedding. They purchased land together in Berlin for their families to live on. They also performed together in public events. By 2017, their friendship had deteriorated. Various legal disagreements have been underway ever since.
The brothers attempted to wrap up the real estate business with minimal disturbance, recounted the sibling at this week's hearing. However, a "war of accusations" subsequently erupted. The court proceedings have divided the family for the last four years. Bushido allegedly lied and appointed Abou-Chaker's sibling as the power of attorney. "Look how arrogant he is," a relative of the Abou-Chaker family declared on Wednesday.
The matter of the €180,000 mentioned by Bushido was also debated at the Brandenburg Civil Appeals Court on Wednesday. Arafat's brother said they needed to pay immediate expenses for the joint property in Kleinmachnow in March 2018. Bushido couldn't approve of this decision at first. Then, they agreed to take money out of the company account. "Take the money, and we'll have one less issue," the sibling described the situation six years ago.
Three weeks later, the money was collected for both - partly as Bushido was "just lazy," based on the account of an Abou-Chaker family member. The atmosphere between the involved parties in their joint real estate enterprise was "completely normal." "What they did musically made no difference to me at all," the sibling added. The dispute regarding the music business initially had no influence on their respective real estate company.
This trial is part of a sequence of legal conflicts between the two. In February, Bushido won a separate civil case against his former partner for a million dollars. The court concluded there wasn't a management contract between the two.
